Kivalliq Inuit Association Post-Secondary Education Completion Awards

Kivalliq Inuit Association supports and rewards Kivalliq Beneficiaries who are seeking to improve their higher level of education and who want to increase their skills in the technical trades or other professions.

Please note: The KIA Post-Secondary Completion Awards are now open to those students who were enrolled in post-secondary studies as outlined in the table below and had a completion date in their studies starting from the calendar year 2019 to now is eligible to apply

The completion amount offered to a successful student is equal to the level of education achieved and is based on the following schedule:

Students who have received a completion Award for completing the first year of a two-year college program (Certificate year $1,000.00) will be eligible to receive a second Completion Award upon receipt of a diploma for completing the second year of the program and so on, please see table above.
Completion awards are provided to Kivalliq Beneficiaries who successfully complete post-secondary education. The size of cash awards varies with the level of education achieved, ranging from college certificate to a PHD Program.

Application Process

Completion awards can be made within 6 months of graduation, providing the documents accompany the application (Proof of completion: official transcripts, certificate/diploma) and a copy of your NTI card.

Appeals
Individuals dissatisfied with a decision made by the review committee may appeal within thirty (30) days of when their application was reviewed. The decision from the review committee and management is final.

Right of KIA
KIA reserves the right to change the Terms of Reference and limits the scholarship and completion awards as they see fit. Funding is subject to availability on any given year.
